I have one week left at Proyecto ‘Ace in Buenos Aires, an internationally renowned, 4-week artist’s residency program. Through a combination of academic research and conversations with fellow artists and local residents, I have created a series of prints that reflect on the human role in the history and future of the climate. The culmination of my time will be an exhibition at Proyecto ‘Ace of the work created during the residency. I will also be showing the work in the fall of 2017 at the University of Connecticut. As an emerging artist, I am at the stage in my career where this opportunity will provide me a step on the path toward recognition as a serious and accomplished artist.
Between the residency fee, supplies, airfare, and accommodation, this trip will cost me $6,000 USD. I have been awarded 2 different grants from UConn (totaling $2,000 USD) and to help cover the remaining $4,000, I have stocked up my store with original prints (on paper and t-shirts)!
I am asking for your support through a purchase (orders will ship Aug. 1) sharing my website, or a donation—for which I will thank you with a surprise print or 3!
